“Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Philippians 2:9-11
Prayer at CCC

  2. Immanuel - “Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel (which means God with us).  Matthew 1:23
  3. Good Shepherd - “And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.” Matthew 2:6 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” John 10:11
  4. Beloved Son - “And when Jesus was baptized [...] behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on Him, and behold a voice from heaven said ‘This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.’” Matthew 3:16-17 “He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said ‘This is my Beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him.’” Matthew 17:5
  5. Lamb of God - “The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and said ‘Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!’” John 1:29
  6. Healer - “And He went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.” Matthew 4:23 “This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.” Matthew 8:17 “And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.” Matthew 9:35
  7. Teacher - “And He opened His Mouth and taught them, saying..” Matthew 5:2-9 The Beatitudes - Matthew Chapters 5-7
  8. Omnipotent - “and He said to them, “”Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then He rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled saying “”What sort of man is this, that even the winds and sea obey Him?”” Matthew 8:26-27
  9. Merciful - “And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, ‘Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” But when He heard it He said “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” Matthew 9:11-13
  10. Chief Cornerstone - “Jesus said to them, Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?” Matthew 21:42
  11. Gentle and Lowly - “Come to Me all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
  12. Lord of the Sabbath - “[... He] entered their synagogue. And a man was there with a withered hand. And they asked Him, ‘Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?’ - so they might accuse Him. He said to them ‘Which one of you who has a sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out? Of how much more value is a man than a sheep!’ So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath. Then He said to the man ‘Stretch out your hand. And the man stretched it out and it was restored, healthy like the other.” Matthew 12:9-13
  13. Miracle Worker - “We only have five loaves here and two fish. And He said ‘Bring them here to Me.’ Then He ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass and taking the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over. And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.” Matthew 14:17-21
  14. Compassionate - “Then Jesus called his disciples to Him and said, ‘ I have compassion on the crowd because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.’” Matthew 15:32 Jesus feeds the four thousand.
  15. Son of the Living God - “He said to them, but who do you say that I am? Simon Peter replied, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.” Matthew 16:15-16
  16. Servant - “[...] But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28
  17. Submissive to His Father - “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here and watch with Me. And going a little farther He fell on His face and prayed saying ‘My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”  Matthew 26:38-39 “Again, for the second time, He went away and prayed ‘My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, Your will be done.’” Matthew 26:42 “So leaving them [the disciples] again He went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same words again.” Matthew 26:44

As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine and you are the branches.
