READ THROUGH THE BIBLE IN A YEAR

Welcome to a journey of Bible reading laid out over a year. It’s a powerful excercise to read the Bible as it was written - in books. Below are 4 different models, none of them for everyone at all times. Be patient. If you “miss a day”, or “get way behind”, don’t fret. The goal isn’t to “finish on time”, but to have our hearts and minds shaped by the word of the Lord. If you don’t “finish” until the middle of next year, no worries. Try to carve out some time every day to sit by yourself, read, hear what God wants you to hear. Take advantage of the suggestions on how to do this. And have a GREAT 2025!

READ NT IN A YEAR

Read Thru the New Testament in a Year: Great if you’re either new to following Jesus or just want to focus on a slower pace of reading about the good news.

READ NT 2X IN A YEAR

Read Thru the New Testament Twice in a Year: Similar to the previous plan, but at a quicker pace. This allows a little more “10,000-foot” view, easier to pick up overall themes.

READ THROUGH THE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE

Read Thru the Bible By Books: Read through the entire Bible in a year, organized by books. You’ll switch back and forth among Old and New Testaments, but mostly staying entire books before moving on.

READ THE BIBLE CHRONOLOGICALLY

Read Thru the Bible Chronologically: Read through the Bible in the order of the events as they happened. Caution: you won’t be in the New Testament until late in the year, so unless you take some time to regularly engage in the New Testament, or you’ve followed Jesus for quite a while, perhaps hold off on this one.
