SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2 Welcome to CCC! This worship guide is a way to learn about what’s going on at CCC, and a few ways to get connected. This morning is Communion Sunday. Take time to pray and reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection as we remember Him today. You can pick-up communion elements at the tables around the Sanctuary. Gluten-free elements are located at the sound booth in the back of the room. CURRENT SERIES Ever read something and noticed a style, a certain way that things are composed or written. Most author’s have their special ways of making the narrative become more special to them or alive to the audience. Like a good sandwich…bread on the top, meat in the middle, bread again on the bottom, Mark author’s sections of his narrative in this way. He starts with a story, or a piece of bread, then stops and adds some meat (another story), and then goes back and adds another piece of the same type of bread as before (the conclusion of story 1). It’s his…well…sandwich. We call it the Markan Sandwich. And to us it begs the question….Sandwich anyone? Click this link and fill out a connect card. |
