Around 2,400 years ago, Nehemiah was called by God to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the defense wall surrounding the city. It was exciting, but make no mistake, it was also challenging and personally demanding. But they got to work. We get this “progress report” as they moved forward: “So we built the wall and the whole wall was built to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.” They got after it, and due to hard work and prayerful obedience they were at least half way there!

We are so thankful at CCC for so many people who “have a mind to work,” who engage on ministry teams and put in much time and effort to see the kingdom of Jesus grow. But we are also convinced the work isn’t done yet, maybe our “wall” here is built only to half its height. For us, there are simply more people God desires to reach, in the same way we have been. So lets finish.

CCC is preparing to launch a new service (not simply another optional service time). We anticipate meeting Sunday afternoons at 4:00. Our desire is to gather 50 or so families that will commit to making this their gathering time for worship and teaching. What will be done on Sunday mornings will be carried on in the afternoons. Not only does this provide more space in the mornings, but also provides a gathering time for people who can’t, or would prefer not to attend in the mornings. We’re looking for people who will see this as a new outreach of CCC, a way we can reach more people, and lock in to this journey. This gathering at 4:00 will in many ways be autonomous, meaning our ministry teams (CCC Kids, ushers, greeters, etc.) will be made up of people who are involved in that 4:00 gathering.

If you have interest in being a part of this new launch, and are willing to consider giving at least a year to being an active and engaged part of expanding, sign up below. As we gather more and more people to be a part, we will contact everyone and begin meeting together and making plans to move forward. If you have interest but are not sure yet of the commitment involved, or if you have questions you’d like to have answered, sign up as well. Please note your questions in the comment section below.
