Pastor to Students
PURPOSE
Provide leadership for middle school and high school students that
encourages them to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, mature
in their Biblical understanding, apply Biblical standards and principles,
defend their faith, and develop a servant’s attitude.
SCOPE
Partner with the Lead Pastor, Elders, and leadership team to implement the
church vision among the youth in the church and community through
fellowship, discipleship, and service. A dynamic person with a Christ-
centered focus, he will be responsible to lead, develop, manage this
ministry program and relate well to a variety of ages. He must be proficient
in organizing, communicating and leading students and parents and
identifying and recruiting adult volunteers. He must be able to administer
the student ministry budget. With a passion for excellence this person
must be relational and will spend much of their time pursuing community
with students.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cultivate a growing, personal walk with God to serve the Lord and CCC out of personal desire and devotion and not professional obligation. Time must be set aside for personal study of the Word and prayer. This person must love Jesus, and it be obvious.
- Organization
- Clearly and consistently cast and communicate vision for the Student Ministry.
- Establish an environment within the Student Ministry Team that encourages and embraces mutual accountability and collaboration in the areas of vision, implementation, strategic planning and ministry development, financial planning and overall expenditures, community and campus outreach, ongoing discipleship, and Sunday evening worship.
- Coordinate all student retreats, activities/outings, camps, and mission trips alongside and leading other Student Ministry staff.
- Assist in regular pastoral duties of the church
- Perform other duties, as required and assigned
- Consistently evaluate the ministry for consistency and excellence
- Leadership
- Lead weekly student services that are theologically sound and under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit; vibrant and creative.
- Preach and teach God’s perfect Word in a way that testifies to diligent prayer, study, and preparation. Communicate to both the head and the heart of middle and high school students.
- Balance speaking, presence, and energy between Middle and High School Ministries.
- Recruit, train, shepherd, and encourage adult volunteers to adequately staff programming and ministries. Invest in the lives of the team.
- Work with parents for the purpose of (1) helping them to understand the needs of their Middle and/or High School student, (2) developing in parents a deeper appreciation for their calling to be the primary disciplers of their teenager, (3) helping them to better understand the generational and cultural context of our day, (4) providing ways that the church can partner with them in helping their youth grow in the Lord, and (5) provide counsel as needed.
- Creativity
- Creatively use technology, music, design, and drama to present Jesus, Scripture, and Biblical principles and concepts to students
- Identify a variety of methods to promote and celebrate 320 Students’ events and activities within the church.
- Strategic Planning
- Strategically develop and lead the student ministry programs/discipleship as part of the overall church and family ministry focus. We work together.
- Be informed, proactive and up-to-date on trends and culture as it relates to students, parents, and families today.
- Identify and plan methods for outreach into the Sumter community.
- Be innovative – be willing to change and adjust to what is solidly Biblical and relationally relevant. Be not afraid to try something new.
- Develop a consistent presence on campuses per district/school guidelines for the purpose of relationship building and inviting students to join the ministry. Hang out with students!
- Set realistic ministry goals that include identifying and implementing strategies and prioritizing tasks to accomplish the goals.
- Administration
- Lead the Student Ministry staff, both paid and volunteer.
- Provide vision to the Student Ministry by preparing an annual ministry plan with identifiable goals and objectives for the upcoming year to the Lead Pastor and Elders.
- Establish standards for activities and events and evaluate using those criteria to identify progress in achieving the vision. What is a win?
- Manage, mentor, develop, and coordinate teams of adult volunteers who are responsible for various elements of the student ministry.
- Schedule and lead meetings (at least quarterly) with the Student Ministry Team to evaluate, discuss, and plan.
- Work closely with Lead Pastor and Elders for financial accountability and in creating the annual budget.
- Communication
- Able to communicate well verbally and in writing
- Able to identify and implement new and creative methods for effective communication on a regular basis with CCC
- Oversee all 320 Student website and aspects including timely, and not less than monthly, updates.
- Oversee with the Student Ministry Associate the social media presence of 320 Students.
- Provide Lead Pastor and Elder team annual goals and objectives for the Student Ministry including parameters for excellence
- Provide annual calendar with key dates and special activities -- update and review quarterly
- Experience and Abilities:
- Be Christ-like in character, humble, practice a servant’s spirit, prayerful, willing to submit to God-given authority; able to correctly handle the Word of Truth.
- Trustworthy, punctual, reliable, and possesses high integrity, forward thinking, self- directed, flexible, and teachable.
- A team player. Must have the ability to think critically and give as well as receive constructive input. We work as a team, and this component is essential.

Technical Director

Provide leadership for technical & production aspects of services and meetings that eliminates distractions and enhances worship experiences so people can encounter Christ.

Partner with the Worship Pastor and the Lead Pastor to implement the church vision. A Christ-centered, self-starting, detail-oriented person. He or she will be responsible to learn, lead, and manage the technical aspects with the support and oversight of the worship pastor. He or she must desire to learn, ask questions, communicate graciously and clearly with volunteers. This person must have the ability to problem solve and the patience to do a deep dive where necessary.

OVERVIEW
- CCC is looking for a candidate who is cultivating a growing, personal relationship with the Lord, and to grow in community with the staff, elders and congregation at CCC. Time must be set aside for personal study of the Word and prayer. This person must love Jesus.
- Organization
- Schedule and Arrange volunteers for main church services and other special events when necessary
- To prioritize weekly needs and special projects as they arise
- To understand inventory and catalog of stored technical and media equipment and help with organization and storage
- Must be able to work within a designated annual budget
- Perform other duties, as required and assigned
- Role & Responsibilities
- To grow in knowledge and stay up to date on technical media equipment (sound, lighting, software, hardware, etc…)
- Lead weekly technical aspects of service (lights, presentation, sound)
- Oversee and troubleshoot displays and audio in other spaces throughout the church (i.e. lobby and kids area)
- Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers to grow and maintain a technical team for main services and other events as well (i.e. funerals)
- Recommend items and systems for growth
- Consistently evaluate the ministry for consistency and excellence
