Toby Toburen has been the Senior Pastor of Christ Community since June 2002. Toby attended Liberty University and graduated in May of 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. After discerning God’s clear call to serve Him in ministry, Toby attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC where he received his Masters of Divinity in May of 1997.
During the last nine years of ministry, Toby has served in multiple capacities which include short-term international missions, men’s ministry, and the senior pastorate. Having traveled into the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia, Toby reserves a special passion for the unreached ethnic groups of the 10/40 Window. Most of all, Toby would tell you that he is passionate for God’s church. To see the church of Jesus Christ magnify the glory of God throughout the world is Toby’s passion and dream and this is what drives his ministry as Senior Pastor of Christ Community Church. He is currently working on his doctoral degree at Fuller Theological Seminary.
Toby is married to Cathy Stevens Toburen. They were married in June of 1996 and have four children – Caroline, Brandt, Tatum and Blythe. Toby and Cathy would like to invite you to come and worship at Christ Community Church!
